The THRIVE IH Initiative

Idiopathic Hypersomnia, Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies, and Cannabidiol/Epilepsy

This multi-faceted website is a source for practical, valuable, and usable information covering several facets of three neurology-based conditions: idiopathic hypersomnia (IH), developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs), and epilepsy with a  focus on the clinical use of cannabidiol. Within each section, we include information on epidemiology and pathophysiology, insights on the safety and efficacy of current and emerging treatments, factors influencing multidisciplinary care and shared decision-making, and many others. This multi-component program offers both live and online activities for providers and their patients, informational videos, a poster portal, and more. By providing useful information about existing and emerging treatment methods for the conditions above, we hope to offer a beneficial learning environment for both providers and patients, with the ultimate goal of improving care for each individual patient.
